FFXIV: Are You Too Shy to Roleplay? Here’s Some Tips!

In a previous video I where talked about social anxiety in FFXIV, one of the top responses I heard was that folks wanted to roleplay, but either didn’t know how to start or were too afraid to try it. I pulled together a number of tips based on my own experience, and suggestions of others in the RP community, to make this follow-up video.
Here I break down the things that make RP intimidating and discuss ways to approach them, including:
- Creative Preparation – designing and preparing your RP character
- Impromptu Writing Style – which is different from a lot of other more common writing you do
- Interpersonal Connections – how RP does rely on interacting with other people and making connections with them
- Communication – keeping the door open with RP partners to prevent misunderstanding
- RP Syntax and Etiquette – FFXIV RP has its own rules when it comes to syntax and approach
