Spreading the News: Massively Overpowered & Blizzard Watch

massivelyoverpoweredYesterday was a sad day as Massively rode off into the sunset, and we were unable to do anything but watch it happen. However, when you love something like the creators at Massively do, you do not go gently into that good night.

I asked in a previous article if there was any way we could save Massively. The answer to that was “no.” But that doesn’t mean it’s the end.

Folks who made Massively as great as it was have banded together to create something new: Massively Overpowered.

Syp at Bio Break detailed all the ways you can follow and watch this new community as it grows. I won’t repeat it all here (check Syp’s post), but I do want to spread the good news. It’s great to see this team getting back on their feet so quickly, and I’m very excited at the prospect of what’s to come! We may not be able to change what’s happened with Massively, but now we have a chance to support something new that could become really amazing!

On a similar note, TAGN talks about how some folks from WOW Insider have now become Blizzard Watch. The writers are funded through Patreon, so if you want to support their efforts, consider donating! It looks like this project has had an overwhelming response, and that’s the kind of things I love to see.

Let the gaming community speak through their deeds! 🙂
