FFXIV: Ranking Up in Achievements First 2026 Update!

Last September, I wrote about becoming more aware of the achievement log in FFXIV, specifically the low-hanging fruit achievements. These were, in particular, the class hunting logs that dated back to the original ARR in 2013. Much to my shame, I realized there were a handful of classes I never completed the hunting logs for.
Well, as of this week, those achievements no longer haunt my log with their 12-year-old shadows. I’ve been whittling away at them bit by bit, and completed the very last log for rogue for the final hunting log achievement!
Add to that the fact that when I switched mains last year, I also switched Grand Companies. This means that I had to work on re-gaining all of my Grand Company based achievements, such as PVP and – you guessed it – hunts! So, I knocked the hunt log out for the Adders while I was out there finishing up my logs for classes.
Even moreso, over the holidays, I worked my way through all the current Dawntrail role questlines, too. This included finishing the capstone role quest, as well, and earning the new emote that came with that achievement.
How very dramatic!
So, all of that to say that as of this week, my overall ranking for my server is #780! That’s down from #916 when I first started to take stock of my achievement rank.
My rarest achievement remains one that I earned from ocean fishing. I still have a few more of those to finish up, which is something I do want to do eventually.
As for what’s next on my achievement list? I’m constantly working on earning achievements for relic weapons both from Endwalker and Dawntrail as I can. I also still need to spend the time to finish up Endwalker FATE grinding and a few of the gathering achievements that I’m close to finishing up.
I’m going to have to take a good look at what I’m closest to finishing to get a feel for what’s next. I’ll keep things updated as I do!
