February Gaming Goals in Review

Posted on February 28

Welcome to February in review! I actually completed all of my goals this month, even going beyond what I set for myself in a lot of ways.

Pokemon Sun: Story Complete!

Posted on February 27

I had what I like to call a bit of a hermit weekend (very little MMO gaming), which was a nice change of pace that allowed me to recharge. I also got a lot of stuff done around the house, and things done on single player games.

The Nintendo Switch Feature I’m Most Excited For

Posted on February 24

The Switch is now a week away from release, and I’ve been sampling information about it from sources around the net. I’ve stumbled upon what I consider to be one of the system’s best features, and with all the cool things you could say about the system, it’s probably not one you’d be thinking about.

I Want to be a Nintendo Switch Fangirl

Posted on February 22

The Nintendo Switch is releasing next Friday. I want so much to be a Nintendo Switch fangirl.

FFXIV: Hildibrand and Paladining

Posted on February 21

Until next week, when I finally take a day off for the Nintendo Switch release on Friday (yay!), work is going to be pretty crazy for me. Due to that, I’m trying not to do too many stressful things when I sit down to game.

Weekend Gaming Highlights: FFXIV, Minecraft, 7D2D, RPG Maker

Posted on February 20

This was a weekend of exciting announcements for FFXIV players, and lots of random gaming for me. There’s so many small things going on, but nothing huge, so it felt right to make a highlights post today. I may go into detail on some of these later!

FFXIV: Stormblood – Samurai Confirmed and Doma!

Posted on February 18

Samurai was announced, and that was no huge surprise, though a pleasant confirmation.

FFXIV: Level 50 Paladin Get!

Posted on February 18

So, tonight after a leveling roulette and a few rounds of PotD, I was sitting at halfway through level 49 Paladin.

Pokemon GO: Ditto & Gen II Pokemon

Posted on February 17

It’s been about a month since I’ve seriously played Pokemon GO to any extent. I was mildly interested in the Valentine’s thing, but had other things on my mind at the time, so it passed me by.

Posted on February 17

So I finished my renovation project of the Dune Village this week, finally replacing the last of the sand with dirt so the Savanna grass can grow up inside. Here’s what it looks like now… you can see there’s still a little patch where the grass needs to grow, but it’s coming along.

FFXIV: Fists of Light

Posted on February 16

I’ve been kicking around in PotD here and there, mostly in order to level my Paladin… who is now sitting halfway through lvl 47! Once I finally get to 50, I know things slow down, but I’ll also have a number of other leveling options to use.

Kitten Chronicles – Almost a Month

Posted on February 15

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve written about my adventure with the new kitten, Spriggan.

Minecraft: The Dune Village

Posted on February 14

Lately, Minecraft has become my go-to game for chilling out and unwinding. I know I haven’t written about it lately, but I’m actually still playing the same map that I rolled up back when I first started playing.

FFXIV: Paladin Level 45 Artifact Armor!

Posted on February 13

I pushed through to get my Paladin to level 45 so that I could start on the Artifact Armor questline.

FFXIV: Full Free Company Weekend

Posted on February 13

This weekend was pretty incredible in terms of our Free Company’s activity. Most of what I did in game was tied to someone in the FC, and we all had a really good time.

FFXIV: Tales from the Duty Finder – BWAAAA!

Posted on February 12

I know that I generally use Tales from the Duty finder as a place to vent about unpleasant party members… but this will be an exception, because you meet plenty of good folks, too. Three of the Posse queued up for Leveling Roulette, and I being yet a noob tank, was nervous we were picking up a random as a DPS.

Steam Challenge: A Bird Story

Posted on February 10

A Bird Story is an experimental interactive story brought to us by the same folks who did To the Moon. Both are successful games built on the RPG Maker platform, and focus more on telling a story than the RPG elements.

ESO: Little Nook in Tamriel

Posted on February 9

I’m a big fan of housing in MMOs, so when I heard that housing was coming to ESO, and that it was fairly attractive and well-done, I decided to check it out. Or, at least, check out the free house I heard you get.

Steam Challenge: Seasons after Fall

Posted on February 8

It’s been a while since I’ve worked on posts for the Seam Challenge, where I endeavor to play games in my Steam backlog. I chose this one because it was a gift from Almonihah this past Christmas and I was super curious what it was about. I’d never heard of it before he gifted it to me, and I know he had his reasons to think that I’d like it… turns out, he was right!

FFXIV: Summoner Sunday & FC Fun

Posted on February 6

This was a fairly long weekend for me, with perhaps a little too much gaming. I needed more sleep than I got, that’s for sure, and I’m really dragging this Monday. However, despite dealing with Deep Dungeon dorks and struggling through one too many raids, it was overall a good time.

FFXIV: Tales from the Duty Finder – Deep Dungeon Dork

Posted on February 4

Maybe it’s just old age. But I just don’t have a lot of tolerance for people who have no intention of being nice to other players in Duty Finder anymore.

7D2D: Minibikes, Drawbridges and Greenhouses

Posted on February 3

While I’ve mostly been writing about adventures in FFXIV, the Posse has also spent a good deal of time in 7D2D over the past few weeks. We’ve gotten further than we have in a while — we survived the Night 36 horde last time we played.

ESO: Morrowind Expansion Thoughts

Posted on February 2

The truth is, the Elder Scrolls have always been a missed opportunity for me as a fan of fantasy RPGs. Since I was introduced to RPGs on the SNES, and didn’t migrate to the PC as a main gaming platform for many years, early PC RPGs were tough for me to get into. They just seemed so overwhelming, and often darker and more gritty than their brightly-colored JRPG counterparts.

February Gaming Goals

Posted on February 1

The end of January saw me serving jury duty for a few days, but that’s now over with heading into February. So back to my more or less regularly scheduled life.
