Snail Simulator – Fun Multiplayer Snocial Snail Snimulation

Posted on July 28

During the Summer Steam sale, I ran across the game Snail Simulator. It’s usually a pretty cheap game, but during the sale, it was down to $0.99. After debating a bit and reading over the many, many positive recommendations the game has, I pulled the trigger on this indie solo-developed game. I did not regret it.

Stepping into VR Gaming: Quest 3s

Posted on July 25

Two days ago, my first VR Gaming headset – the Meta Quest 3s – arrived. This was an unexpected gift from Syn, after we had a very short discussion whereupon she stated her desire to buy me a VR headset so that we could share VR gaming experiences – with the goal to become more physically active while gaming.

Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 – Holding Resolute

Posted on July 23

About a week and a half ago, I saw three copies of the Switch 2 console in the wild at my local Target. I felt a momentary thrill of excitement and surprise. I snapped a phone picture. Then I walked away from the console, determined to stay the course with my choice to not buy the Switch 2 until I was happier with what I heard about the system.

Posted on July 14

Way back when Tamagotchi was first released, I know I owned one of my own. While I was a young adult at the time, and not the original age-group market for the device, the idea of raising a virtual pet has always been something appealing to me.

The Game Journal and Project Capture Card

Posted on July 11

As I continue to collect physical Nintendo Switch games for my collection, I continue to look for strategies to motivate myself to play the games I own. Despite having a wonderful library of games on the original Switch, I’ve found it increasingly difficult to put time into playing the system.

FFXIV: Days of Relics

Posted on July 8

I’ve been in a funky mood when it comes to gaming lately. I even wrote a post about this which I never posted – I will probably write a post about that post at a later date. But to get to the point, I decided not to post about feeling in a gaming slump, and to actually take action about how I was feeling instead – hence, the motivation that led to this post.
